About

The birth of our Growhuts business began with a spring greenhouse project of our own on our property in Victor, Idaho. As inquisitive DIY’ers, we reached out to Mike Hudacsko, the previous owner of Growhuts, to source polycarbonate material and supplies for a backyard structure that would provide seasonal sustenance for our family. After several conversations with Mike and a few trips back and forth to rummage through his offerings, he approached us about taking over the business. Duane, a physician’s assistant and former carpenter for Snake River Builders’ custom homes, was gung-ho, as it would provide a great side hustle to our current jobs. So in the fall of 2017, the Growhuts business became ours, blossoming into more than just an alternate form of income.

With our deep passion for enriching people’s lives and gardens, we have continued Mike’s original mission of providing regional families with iconic mountain-ready greenhouses and sheds. Duane hand-builds each greenhouse in Teton Valley and our sheds and chicken coops are crafted by the Miller family, part of an Amish community near Salmon, Idaho. We cherish the relationships we’ve made over the years with both our suppliers and our community—right here in our backyard and beyond.
